Statement of Faith
This document outlines the foundational biblical convictions of GCA. All employees and volunteers must sign to indicate their agreement and commitment to teaching these truths.
1. The Holy Scriptures: We believe the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired, inerrant, and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
2. The Triune God: We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. The Person of Christ: We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
4. Salvation: We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
5. Sanctification: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and is sealed until the day of redemption.
6. Creation & Humanity: We believe that God created the universe in six literal days. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female, and that these two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
7. Marriage and Sexuality: We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.
8. Final Authority: The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
